Our partner, a Hungarian University has developed a new method and diagnostic kit for diagnosing susceptibility of post-traumatic scar tissue formation. The client is interested in finding producers and / or a product developer to acquire the patent rights through an in-licence agreement and also interested in potential distributors.
The invention is a PCR-based method and a diagnostic kit for diagnosing post-traumatic scar tissue formulation with the TGF-ß1 gene-specific sequence. If the patient carries this gene's homozygotic wild type allele, then this patient is considered to be susceptible to post-traumatic scar tissue.
The patenting process is currently underway in the US (Pub. No. US20100297648) and was granted in Hungary (Pub. No. HU0700313) for the PCR-based diagnostic method and diagnostic kit for diagnosing post-traumetic scar tissue formation.
