Affordable On-Demand software for regulatory affairs professionals
Samarind Limited has announced the launch of the 'on demand' version of its globally renowned regulatory affairs system, Samarind RMS (Regulatory Management Software). Samarind RMS is a tracking database and electronic document management system (eDMS) for pharmaceutical licence holders and regulatory consultants. The new 'On Demand' version is completely Internet-based, which means it can used anywhere in the world that has Internet access - a real advantage in an industry that is increasingly globalised and whose stakeholders are amongst the most mobile in the world. Hosted on secure web servers in the UK, all users need is a computer with a browser and an Internet connection; no other hardware, software or IT infrastructure is required, and the system is available on a monthly or annual subscription basis. Samarind's Software Director Miranda Pothiawala comments, "We identified a need for a system like this several years ago, particularly within the SME and regulatory consultancy market. With increasingly stringent procedural requirements globally, including eCTD, electronic tools are now a 'must have' for anyone dealing with licence submissions and lifecycle management. Until now the hurdle for smaller companies has been price; our 'On Demand' system offers essentially the same regulatory tools as our Windows software, but at a very affordable monthly cost. We're also offering TOPRA members a preferential discount on their subscription, which makes it an even more attractive solution." Samarind RMS 'On Demand' handles product launch planning, submissions, licence renewals, variations, PSURs and document creation and storage. Full eDMS and eCTD publishing tools will be available from July 2010. Customers subscribing before the end of June 2010 will benefit from 12 months free upgrade to the eCTD version.
