Hector Gomez  - new generation of targeted anti-cancer drugs   |Author |2010-04-30 18:05:25 GLG Pharma is an early stage, personalized oncology company that is developing a series of anti-cancer compounds that, we believe, are the next generation of targeted therapies. Our compounds are all STAT3 inhibitors. They are small molecules, have different chemical structures and act on different sites within the JAK-STAT3 signaling pathway. One compound (GLG-101) is in preclinical development by the US National Cancer Institute RAID program. The NCI will complete the total preclinical package and we will file the IND for GLG-101 in 2010. We want to file as soon as possible an exploratory IND for GLG-302 and initiate a Phase 0 clinical trial and then proceed with the other compounds as fast as possible.
